Now in its 52nd year, the programme for this year's Aberdeen Highland Games is packed full of traditional events and entertainment for the whole family.
Competitors of all ages will take part in a wide range of traditional Scottish events including Caber Toss, Highland Dancing, Heavy Hammer Throwing, and of course the 725kg Tug-O-War Championship.
The event really does cater for the whole family with walkabout performers, a highland games treasure trail and a story telling tent for the children. As you would expect there is an abundance of Scottish produce on sale and also a marquee dedicated to Scottish entertainment with traditional Scottish music, poems and songs.
