Glasgow Doors Open 2012

Glasgow Doors Open 2012

If you are anything like me and when walking around the city you spend your time constantly trying to sneak a peek through windows or wondering what is going on behind the beautifully carved doors of some of the city's most exciting buildings, then this weekend will be right up your street! Whether it is the history, the architecture, the function of the building or all of the above that draws you in, you will be pleased to hear that this weekend the city will be opening some of these doors for FREE!!

Over 100 buildings across the city have been carefully selected to ensure you make the most of what's on offer.  This year's festival includes access to 24 new venues, including Barrowland Ballroom, The Whisky Bond, Maggie's Gartnavel and even the Clyde Tunnel Control Room!

Along with entry to these fantastic buildings there are also over 50 walks, tours and events for you to attend and get involved in, and yes, they are all completely FREE!

So if you feel like indulging your nosey side, without over indulging your bank balance, and want to learn a bit about the city along the way, log on to  Glasgow Doors Open to get your free guide!
