2004
Winner of the Thomas Cook Travel Book Award 2004 has been announced.
2004 Award Winner
The 2004 award winner Ghost Riders, published by Abacus,
focuses on Richard Grant’s travels around the USA,
his wanderlust and the stories of other nomads whom he
meets on the road.
The Travel Book Award originated as an initiative of The
Thomas Cook Group in 1980, with the aim of encouraging
and rewarding the art of literary travel writing.
From 1980 - 1994, there was also a Guide Book category
and from 1988 to 1992, there was an additional Illustrated
Guide category.
